Our office specializes in full-service bookkeeping for medical offices and related organizations; and with charities.
Our office works in a paperless environment and uses technology to a high degree.
It starts with bills and bank statements being electronically pushed and pulled into our office wherever possible. The remaining bills that are still paper-based are forwarded to our office through the Dext app for processing.
Expense claims are done on your phone with an app. If you can take a picture with your phone, you can work this app.
Employees are paid electronically and have a portal to pick up their paystubs and T4s.
Outgoing payments are sent electroncially -- no cheques!
Don't take any wooden nickels
Often I am asked.... Why Woodennickel?
From a very young age, I can remember my Grandfather saying “Don’t take any wooden nickels!” It always has stuck with me.
Wooden nickels were used as tokens back in the late 1800’s early 1900’s. When a fair would come to town, they would use the wooden nickels as tokens for the fair, but they were also accepted as legal currency in the town during the time of the fair. However, as the fair was preparing to leave town, shop keepers would tell their clerks not to take any more wooden nickels as they did not want to be left with the tokens, which suddenly lost all their value.
